The 8th May 2025 marks 80 years since the acceptance of Nazi Germany's surrender and the official end of the Second World War in Europe.
It was a time of immense relief and celebration in the United Kingdom and it is important that we do not forget the sacrifice and contribution made by men and women in our armed forces and at home during this time.

Both the Lancaster bombers and Royal Air Force's Red Arrows took part in the iconic flypasts after the military procession from Whitehall to Buckingham Palace which started four days of events taking place across the country. With more than 1,300 members of the armed forces and general public taking part in the parade this was a fantastic show of patriotic pride.
As well as commemorating the conclusion of the war it is also important to celebrate the victories which led to the defeat of the Nazi's. We have Battle of Britain wind spinners as well as commemorative metal plaques which provide a dignified and attractive memorial to an event which many regard as a turning point in the conflict.
