This Friday 17th March St Patrick will be celebrated around the world, as he died on this day in AD 461.
During his slave captivity, he became a Christian stating how his calling was to convert Pagans to Christianity, going on to establish many good schools, churches and monasteries throughout Ireland.
St Patrick's Day was originally a Catholic holiday, however today celebrated by non-Catholics too.
